25 containers have been recovered so far from the site closed off around the MV Southern Phoenix which sank a few weeks ago.
The sunken vessel had 183 tons of heavy fuel oil, 30 tons of medium diesel oil, 179 cargo containers, break bulk cargo and other cargo.
Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji CEO John Tunidau says they continue to monitor the situation and have response teams on standby in case of any emergency.
He says the Salvage team continues to dive daily to ensure any leak is detected immediately and rectified.
