A 24-year-old man will be produced in the Suva Magistrates Court today charged with allegedly stoning a police vehicle on Sunday morning.
The man allegedly refused to stop at Stinson Parade when directed by Police and officers pursued the vehicle up to Mead Road in Nabua.
He allegedly stoned the police vehicle causing damage to the patrol car.
The man has been charged with one count of each of damaging property and driving a motor vehicle without being the holder of a valid driving license and failure to obey traffic direction.
Acting Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu stresses that any reports received will result in the full deployment of resources and capabilities to bring those responsible to justice as officers are putting their lives on the line every day to maintain law and order and keep everyone safe.
