2,231 people received micro and small business grants in Nausori.
Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya says that the disbursement will bring the number of micro and small entrepreneurs that have been assisted in Nausori and surrounding areas to 3,276.
Koya told the recipients that the government is putting confidence and trust in them to use the assistance properly.
He says the recipients have been thoroughly and carefully assessed by the Ministry and the Fijian Development Bank to ensure that only those who genuinely need this assistance are supported.
One of the recipients was 21-year-old Akuila Verebasaga who wants to use the profits from his grog business to pay for his school fees.
