A 21-year-old man has been fined $300 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Napolioni Veibataki, an unemployed 21-year-old man of Raiwaqa was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol with a provisional drivers licence.
The man pleaded guilty to the charge laid against him.
Magistrate Deepika Prakash fined Veibataki $300 as he is a first offender and was remorseful for what he had done.
Magistrate Prakash has given the 21-year-old 60 days to pay his fine in full.
The 21-year-old is also awaiting his recruitment into the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces.
