200 new nursing students expected to join the Ministry of Health

200 new nursing students who have recently graduated from FNU Nursing School and the TISI Sangam Nursing School are expected to join the Ministry of Health at the end of this month.

Minister for Health Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete says that these graduates are going through the induction and orientation program and they should be ready by the end of this month.

Waqainabete says that 19 new doctors joined the ministry this year and they are also waiting for a new psychiatrist consultant who is coming from Europe.

He also revealed that a Fijian Surgeon who has completed his under-graduate and post-graduate studies in New Zealand will be joining the team in May.

The Minister of Health says that specialist in areas of health such as dentist, lab technicians, x-rays and environment health compliments the works of doctors and nurses.
