Two men will be produced in the Navua Magistrates Court this afternoon charged for their alleged involvement in a series of robberies in Pacific Harbour.
The two aged 27 and 19 years have both been charged with aggravated burglary and theft.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says a third suspect aged 28-years-old will be produced in court tomorrow.
The three were allegedly involved in four reported robberies at four villas in late September.
Some items have also been recovered.
Meanwhile, a team of officers from the Southern Division accompanied by the K9 Unit managed to apprehend five men for allegedly breaking into a villa and stealing assorted items before fleeing in a rental car this morning.
The five were arrested shortly after Police were notified and the vehicle was intercepted and although some of the suspects fled, they were tracked down by the K9 team.
All five are in custody and are being questioned at the Navua Police Station.
Officers also met with the residents of Pacific Harbour yesterday and gave assurances that all efforts are being made to ensure there is no repeat of the robberies.
The two parties agreed to look at all possible ways of enhancing their partnership for the sake of keeping their community safe from criminal elements.
