Two men will be produced in the Suva Magistrates Court today regarding the FNPF Cyclone Winston Scheme investigations.
They are aged 32 and 22 years and have both been charged with one count of conspiracy to obtain property by deception and two counts of forgery.
It is alleged that the two deceptively obtained the sum of $5000 which belongs to a 32‑year‑old man residing in Brisbane through FNPF’s Cyclone Winston Assistant Scheme.
The 22‑year‑old allegedly forged the victim's signature in the FRCA/FNPF joint card application.
Meanwhile, the third person who is a former employee of the FNPF, Raijeli Matakibau has been charged with four counts of obtaining property by deception and has been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court.
