Two men have been sentenced to six years imprisonment by the Nausori Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to a count each of aggravated burglary and theft.
Sirino Vakatawa and Avishkar Kumar broke into the Rups Investment Shop and stole assorted items to the total value of $1,326.20 between the 25th and the 26th of April, 2014 in Nausori.
Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne stated that tolerating these kinds of offences in any part of the country would discourage the people from engaging in businesses.
A non-parole period of five years has been set.
