The government has revenue of $3.1 billion today.
This was highlighted by the Attorney General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum at the 2017/2018 National Budget consultation in Ba.
He says in 2004 the government had revenue of $1.1 billion.
Sayed-Khaiyum told the people that government makes money to spend on the people and it will also allow them to borrow less.
He encouraged the people to give the information through the whistle blower policy about businesses who are stealing from the system and people who give correct information can also make money.
He says this is why they are empowering FRCA with powers and resources.
