Two Chinese nationals charged with bribery by FICAC have been granted bail by the Nasinu Magistrates Court.
They have both been given a bail bond of $500 and have also surrendered their passports.
A stop departure order has also been ordered for both of the accused.
Director of Tong Xin Auto Trade Company (Fiji) Limited, Xu Yufeng and a Salesman Qian Jin Sin allegedly offered $200 to two officers of the Land Transport Authority to influence the officers in performing their duties.
The LTA officers were at the company site for a standard inspection when the alleged bribe was offered to the officers in exchange for approving license for inspection.
The LTA had referred this complaint to FICAC for investigation upon the LTA officers bringing the matter to the attention of LTA management.
This matter has been adjourned for mention on 30 October 2017 to take plea.
