18 traders have so far been interviewed by the Fiji Commerce Commission after the seizure of expired goods.
CEO, Joel Abraham says investigations are underway and more traders will be interviewed.
Abraham says some traders have submitted their reports to the Commission.
He says these traders have taken necessary steps and assured the Commission that it will not be repeated.
The CEO also highlights that some traders may not be at fault and it could be that merchandisers might be involved in not removing their expired products.
He says imposing the fines on them will not help therefore the Commerce Commission would like to find out the root cause of this problem.
Abraham says their aim is to ensure that there is compliance level in the market.
