A 23‑year‑old Libyan, who has been training to be a pilot, has become the 16th person to be arrested in connection with the suicide bombing in Manchester, Britain, which killed 22 people last week.
British newspapers have named him as Ala Zakry. He was arrested hundreds of kilometres south of Manchester "on suspicion on offences contrary to the terrorism act".
A total of 16 people have been arrested in connection with the attack. Two were released without charge, while 14 men remained in custody for questioning.
Meanwhile British police released a picture of Manchester bomber Salman Abedi that showed him wheeling a blue suitcase on the day of the suicide attack last week, asking the public to come forward with information as their investigation continues.
Abedi killed 22 people in a suicide bombing at a concert by US singer, Ariana Grande last Monday, in the deadliest militant attack in Britain for 12 years.
