16 seasonal workers bound to be re-employed under Seasonal Work Programme

Another 16 seasonal workers are bound for Australia to be re‑employed under the Australian Seasonal Work Programme.

Permanent Secretary for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Salaseini Daunabuna says the group was engaged last year by the same Australian employer and due to their high productivity rate and excellent work performance they have been recruited for another seven months.

Daunabuna says anyone selected for employment overseas under the Seasonal Work Programme must do their best as their performance will open up doors for other potential workers in Fiji.

She also told the workers to increase their performance to another level so their chances of being recruited again are high.
