15 fashion designers showcase designs at International Resort Wear Show in Nadi

15 top fashion designers from overseas and Fiji showcased their designs at the International Resort Wear Show at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in Denarau last night.

For the first time a jewellery designer from India, Mona Shroff was also part of the show.

Shroff says she wants to explore this market since it’s a totally different market for her.

The organiser of the show, Ellen Whippy says they will continue to develop this show to achieve the status of becoming the biggest show in the Southern Hemisphere.

Whippy says she was in Los Angeles a few weeks ago and they were able to secure some designers.

Minister for Industry Trade and Tourism, Faiyaz Koya says this will be one of the major attractions for tourists in Fiji.

Meanwhile, other international designers who were part of the show include Katie Dior and Jackie Lee from Australia.
