More than 1,300 FNPF members in Sigatoka took advantage of the Fiji National Provident Fund Retirement Expo.
The three days event allowed members of the public to seek advice on retirement planning, update their FNPF information, enquire as to how they could boost their FNPF saving and be consulted regarding the Village Housing grant assistance.
FNPF’s General Manager for Member Services, Alipate Waqairawai says that the main objective of this expo was to create awareness on savings and contribute to the conversation that retirement planning is critical as old age is inevitable.
He says that this expo had a holistic approach where members could access all the services they needed without any time restriction.
Waqairawai added that they received feedback and emails from people enquiring about pension calculation and the options available to them.
The FNPF retirement expo team will head to Taveuni in June with plans to conduct more expo in other parts of the country later this year
