13 countries will be represented at this year’s Fiji Fashion Week 10th anniversary in the inaugural Pacific Island Resort Show this Friday.
This was highlighted by Fiji Fashion Week Managing Director Ellen Whippy Knight and she adds that this is attracting 12 designers from around the Pacific Region.
She says that this is by far the biggest show not only for Fiji but for the Pacific and will allow designers to learn from one another and also be able to discuss traditional prints.
Chair of the Fiji Fashion Council Faraz Ali says that having designers from other countries at this year’s Fashion week is a monumental step towards establishing Fiji as the hub of fashion in the Pacific.
He adds that this will also enable Suva to grow to be the stepping stone to the global market for the Pacific.
The Fiji Fashion week will be held from the 22nd - 27th of this month at the Vodafone Arena.
