Thirteen communities in Fiji will soon have well‑structured water systems as a result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Water Authority of Fiji and Natural Waters of Viti Limited.
These communities are Naluwai village in Naitasiri, Navitilevu Settlement, Wailotua, Wainilekutu settlement and Nakorosule District School in Tailevu as well as Navuloa, Abarella settlement, Korolevu village, Lomawai village in Nadroga, Nanoko, Nawairabe, Waibasaga and Nabama in Bua.
The Water Authority of Fiji confirmed that the Naluwai water project is scheduled to start soon and they have received building materials for this project.
It said the rest of the water projects will be implemented in the next financial year.
Natural Waters Viti Limited last year signed a Memorandum of Understanding worth $76,000 with the Water Authority of Fiji.
