100 cases of prostate cancer were reported in Fiji this year.
This was confirmed by the Minister for Health and Medical Services Jone Usamate while delivering his speech at the Prostate Cancer Awareness Ball and Beards Tournament at Cathedral Secondary School.
Usamate says prostate cancer is listed as the top cancer found in men in Fiji this year .
He is urging men over 40 to take advantage of the free prostate cancer screening that is available at the Balls and Beards Tournament at the Cathedral School ground.
$26,000 was donated to the Health Ministry and the remaining funds was used to finance the club’s tournament this year.
