10 farmers from the Marinitawa farming community receive National Farmers ID cards

10 farmers from the Marinitawa farming community in Ba were given National Farmers ID cards.

The ID cards will allow farmers to be registered and be put in a national database to further improve and enhance assistance and share information and knowledge between Government and farmers.

Minister for Agriculture, Dr Mahendra Reddy highlighted this during the launch of a National Identification System for farmers around the country.

He says it will also allow farmers to be recognised in the various schemes and initiatives that would be implemented by the Ministry.
