While launching the National Salt Awareness Week, Permanent Secretary for Health Dr Meciusela Tuicakau said salt is a contributor to the complication of NCDs.
He says it is important for people to the know the consequences of taking too much salt as the results of the choices that are made is shown later.
Tuicakau highlights that too much salt consumption can cause high blood pressure, kidney problems and strokes.

Some of these do not necessarily taste salty.
