A directive has been given by Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho instructing Police officers to monitor speeding government vehicles due to complaints that many government drivers are abusing road rules.
Police say 110 government vehicle drivers have been issued traffic infringement notices in the last 21 days.
This includes five police drivers who have also been caught speeding and driving carelessly.
Qiliho says there are no special speed limits for government vehicles and drivers going over the speed limit will be booked when caught by traffic officers.
