The newly crowned Miss Pacific Islands, Anne Dunn encourages all Pacific Islanders to hold on to their roots and to be inspired by the simple things.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Samoa, Dunn says that she is very blessed and honored to have been blessed last night, very humbled by the experience and to be crowned Miss Pacific Islands to be able to represent the region.
She says that there is no secret behind the winning of the pageants, but simply putting God first and dedicating everything to him before stepping out on to such platforms, and knowing that her family is always going to be there to support her.
Dunn says that she finds her inspiration in everyone she has been blessed to cross paths with and also in daily activities. .
She says she feels that Pacific Islanders are drifting away from who they are as people and encourages Pacific islanders to hold on to their roots, and culture, because that is what makes us unique and different.
Meanwhile, Anne Dunn also won Best Traditional Attire and Best Interview.
Miss Pacific Islands returns to Fiji tomorrow.
