Suva Magistrate, Jioji Boseiwaqa has given time to the FICAC Counsel to serve the pre-trial conference documents to the defence counsel in the case of former CEO of Fiji Commerce Commission Bobby Maharaj.
The case will be called on the 28th of next month.
It is alleged that Maharaj while being employed by the Fiji Commerce Commission directed an employee of the commission, without conducting an inspection to fill in false information to indicate an inspection was conducted of a trader and a verbal warning was issued against the trader for breaches under the Commerce Commission Decree.
Maharaj has pleaded not guilty to one count of abuse of office.
The alleged incident took place between 17th March and 31st December, 2012.
His bail has been extended.
