Woman allegedly stabbed to death by her defacto partner

A 24-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her defacto partner at Nasilivata Street in Nadera yesterday.

Fijivillage has received information that the man in his 60s who used to run a security recruitment agency is currently in custody.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the woman who was allegedly stabbed several times by the man, was rushed to the hospital however she was pronounced dead on arrival.

The man surrendered himself to police and is in custody at the Valelevu Police Station.

Serious concerns have also been raised that some people took videos of the gruesome attack however they did not take any immediate action to assist the woman.

The videos were circulated on social media late yesterday and have been removed after we highlighted the issue late yesterday afternoon.
