Tropical Depression gradually moving East-Northeast ward away from the group

A Heavy rain warning remains in force for Southern parts of Vanua Levu, Southern parts of Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.

The Nadi Weather Office confirms that a Tropical Depression is gradually moving East-Northeast ward away from the group.

Meanwhile, the Weather Office says a trough of low pressure affects the Southern and Eastern parts of the group.

A flood alert remains in force for the low lying areas and areas adjacent to major rivers for Southern parts of Vanua Levu and Southern parts of Viti Levu.

Occasional rain is forecast for Southern parts of Vanua Levu, Southern parts of Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller island.

Expect occasional rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms with rain easing later today.

Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding.
