The Land Transport Authority has appointed Samuel Simpson as its new Chief Executive Officer.
While making the announcement, LTA Board Chairman Vijay Maharaj says Simpson joined LTA earlier this month and brings extensive experience to the Transport industry.

Simpson is from the United Kingdom.
He has over 32 years of transport industry experience, including nearly 25 years’ experience at General Manager and Director Level.
Maharaj says that Simpson prior to joining LTA was managing large bus operations in London, Manchester, Birmingham, West Yorkshire including being responsible for regulatory functions, safety and operational standards.
He also worked for Bus Eireann in Ireland and in the Middle East responsible for Serco's Bus operations in Asia, Middle East and USA.
Simpson says that he is happy to join LTA saying that it will be a journey which he promises will be at the very least challenging and interesting.
The new LTA CEO says what attracted him to the job was the enthusiasm and energy of LTA staff and their commitment to serving customers and making a positive difference to people’s lives.
