SODELPA has announced their 30 candidates for the 2018 General Elections and Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka is confident that SODELPA will win.
This was after SODELPA and the People’s Democratic Party signed a MOU partnership which allows members of PDP to contest as SODELPA candidates.
The SODELPA candidates are Anare Jale, Ro Kiniviliame Kiliraki, Semesa Karavaki, Tanya Waqanika, Salote Radrodro, Beranado Daveta, Ropate Ligairi, Pio Tabaiwalu, Jope Koroisavou, Dr Mere Samisoni, Aseri Radrodro, Peceli Rinakama, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Mikaele Leawere, Meretai Kanabuabua, Simione Drole, Peci Vosanibola, Mitieli Bulanauca, Mosese Bulitavu, Ratu Tevita Niumatawalu, Niko Nawaikula, Jope Koroisavou, Adi Narayan, George Shiu Raj, Pastor Ezekiel Sharma, Arvin Deo Singh, Reverend Jone Kata, Ratu Jone Rabici Seniloli, Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu and Lynda Tabuya.
Speaking at the MOU signing, SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka says that the PDP has made a bold step to decide and to work in corporation with SODELPA.
Rabuka says the newly chosen SODELPA Vice President Vijay Singh and Lynda Tabuya have personally accepted the challenge in resigning from PDP and joining SODELPA.
He says they have come in with the basic and the real platform upon which SODELPA is run on.
Former PDP Leader Lynda Tabuya says they are glad to unite with SODELPA to fight the 2018 general elections.
Tabuya says they needed to rethink their strategies moving forward.
She says Pre‑elections coalitions is just not legally possible in the current election system.
Tabuya says they have chosen to join SODELPA because their policies are similar.
