Expect rain and thunderstorms from tomorrow in many parts of Fiji.
The weather condition is expected to change from tomorrow as a tropical disturbance located near Tuvalu, which is 1,015 kilometres West North West of Rotuma, is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone.
Based on current analysis, Fiji is expected to feel the indirect effects of the cyclone as the system is predicted to pass close to Vanuatu later in the week.
The Nadi Weather Office is monitoring the situation and more details are expected to be released later today.
A strong wind warning is in force for Rotuma waters.
The Weather Office confirms that the Tropical Disturbance was located about 1,015 kilometres West North West of Rotuma at 3am today.
The associated trough remains slow moving just to the north of the island.
