Political campaign blackout period now in force

The political campaign blackout period is now in force and will finish at 6pm Wednesday when polling closes around the country.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem has confirmed that all campaign material was to be removed before 7.30 this morning.

Any campaign material in public places, vehicles, websites and the social media also need to be removed.

FICAC is expected to monitor this.
