A heavy rain warning remains in force for the Eastern half of Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.
Localised flash flooding is expected in these areas.
The Nadi Weather Office says the trough of low pressure with cloud, heavy rain and thunderstorms is temporarily moving northwards.
It is expected to affect Fiji until tomorrow.
However, the trough is expected to drift South again over Fiji on Tuesday and affect the Northern parts of the country before spreading to the rest of the group.
Meanwhile, a flood alert remains in force for the low lying areas and small streams adjacent to and downstream of Naqali Bridge.
