Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has stressed that the FijiFirst government will look after all Fijians, and not only selected areas as highlighted by some members of the opposition.
While speaking in parliament today, Bainimarama said to the parliamentarians that they are all Fijians in the house and they all need to be patriotic.
Bainimarama says NFP Leader Biman Prasad has been talking about the sugar industry but he seems to have forgotten that $80 million was loaned from India for milling equipment by past governments, and 75% of the equipment did not work.
The Prime Minister also says that Biman Prasad is supporting SODELPA which has people who were asking landowners not to renew the cane farming leases.
Bainimarama also raised concern about SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu quoting from Facebook and blog sites.
He says it was sad yesterday to witness the NFP’s mental acrobatics on display as they attempted to justify their confounding allegiance with SODELPA’s leadership in the Ratu Isoa Tikoca case.
Bainimarama says he could not believe that Prasad could completely ignore what happened to Fiji in 1987 and 2000.
He says Prasad chose to pretend our history of racial vilification and violence never existed.
