R C Manubhai Group of Companies has opened its brand new manufacturing facility in Ba which is an investment of $10 million.
This factory will manufacture products like polyurethane foam, ropes and plastics and more than 80 people will be employed at this new factory.
While opening the new factory, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says this factory supplies its products to the entire Fiji market and exports its products to other Pacific Island nations.
Bainimarama says he has been told that there is a good chance that exports to New Zealand and Australia will begin soon.
The Prime Minister highlighted that this is just the latest milestone in the story of the great company as throughout its history the Patel family has shown enterprise, commitment, determination and faith in the future of Fiji.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director and Chairman of the R C Manubhai Group of Companies, Dinesh Patel says they will continue to invest and diversify their product range and people can expect to see some interesting products in due course.
Patel also confirmed that their group has major development plans for Fiji which is worth between $30 million to $50 million.
He says some of the work will start before the end of this year.
