4,000 Fijians will benefit from the water projects once completed in Nawaicoba, Nakavika and Balevuto, Nadroumai and Ulusila.
The Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has instructed government agencies to look into water problems faced by residents in these areas.
Water Authority of Fiji Chief Executive Officer Opetaia Ravai briefed the Prime Minister on the proposed scope of works for the water projects in these areas.
Ravai said the Ulusila water project is 85 per cent complete.
He added immediate upgrading works for the Bale-vuto water supply system include the construction of a reservoir, PVC mains, installation of break pressure tanks and a water treatment plant.
Ravai said Water Authority of Fiji had completed upgrading works for Nawaicoba with the installation of tanks and booster pumps and was going to continue with future upgrading works.
