Speaker of Parliament Dr Jiko Luveni told parliamentarians this morning that some supplementary questions from the opposition are only focusing on where they come from.
As questions were being raised on rural roads, Dr Luveni said that she believes the supplementary questions by the opposition MPs have forced the Minister for Infrastructure, Parveen Bala to talk about the road works in areas where the opposition MPs come from.
Opposition Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa says these questions are from the people on the ground but Dr Luveni again clarified this issue.
Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says that they have already discussed in the Business Committee meeting that individual road questions will not be answered.
Parveen Bala says that there are 29 rural road projects in Fiji.
Bala adds that from the 11 projects in the Central Division, one has been completed and ten are currently underway.
He says that the Western Division has three projects with one completed and two currently underway, the Northern Division has six projects with two completed and four are still underway.
Bala says that the Eastern Division has a total of nine projects with eight underway and one completed.
