With less than an hour to go before Fiji kicks off their first match at the Commonwealth Sevens, Fiji 7s coach, Gareth Baber has highlighted that he has confidence in Amenoni Nasilasila’s style of play to bring in more pressure to the opposition.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Baber says Nasilasila is a player that is always out for the team and not for himself.
Baber says he is confident that he has picked the best players to give the best shot to win the first ever Commonwealth 7s gold.
Baber says it is great to hear that excitement is building up in Fiji for this weekend’s tournament and he knows that the team is carrying the hopes of the nation to create history.
Meanwhile, Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou presented the team jerseys this morning.
