More than 30,000 drivers were booked for speeding in Fiji last year.
According to National Traffic Infringement records for 2017 speeding was also the most common offence recorded on our roads last year.
Police traffic infringement statistics show that 31,632 drivers were fined for speeding last year.
It also shows that 1,397 drivers were fined for not wearing seatbelts and 1,576 drivers were fined for driving with expired drivers licences while 145 people were fined for driving without licence.
There were 727 cases of illegal operations and 450 cases of improper use of mobile communications.
