Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has also dedicated the gold medal win in Rio to all the players that were part of the Fiji 7s Olympics squad.
He says on their way from Nausori Airport to GPH he saw former Fiji International, Nasoni Roko cheering with his family and it reminded him of all the other boys that helped the team win gold.
Speaking at the Special Fiji 7s Gold Medal win celebration at the ANZ Stadium, Ryan said that the gold medal win in Rio would not have been possible without these players.
Ryan says Fiji has now gained 13 new role models who have inspired Fijians all over the world.
He says the celebration at the ANZ Stadium was not for the Fiji 7s team but for all Fijians.
He also thanked the Fijiana 7s team for setting the standard of women in sports in Fiji.
Ryan ended his speech by asking the crowd to give themselves a round of applause for showing the world that a small island can accomplish huge things.
