Miss Sinopec sponsored by Autocare, Miss Nikhat Khan has just been crowned this year’s Hibiscus Miss Charity Queen.

Hibiscus Committee Chairman, Hirdesh Prasad confirms that Khan raised close to $35,000.

Prasad adds they have collected over $50,000 in the Hibiscus Charity Chest and they continue to total up the amount raised this year.  

The newly crowned Miss Charity says that the charity chest is an ideal part of our community supporting many organisations through this that includes, the Fiji Society for the blind.

Khan also scooped three special awards last night at the Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Festival including Miss Internet, Miss Best Dressed and Miss People’s Choice.

Meanwhile the Best Float Award was won by Miss Sinopec, Nikhat Khan and Miss Fiji Society for the Blind, Jessica Fong who are both sponsored by Autocare.

Other special awards that were given out last night include, Miss National Tourism that was awarded to Miss Soko’s Beauty and Net Cafe, Sainiana Sova, Miss Personality was awarded to Miss Foneology, Lavenia Vunidreketi and Miss Photogenic was won by Miss Apco, Nayome Paurasi.

Miss Hibiscus 2018 will be crowned at around 8.30 tonight at the Valelevu grounds in Nasinu.
