National Federation Party President Pio Tikoduadua has asked his former colleagues in the military to please leave politics to the people.
Speaking at the NFP Talanoa session at Rishikul Sanatan College in Valelevu, Tikoduadua said it is unfortunate that the government has used selective media and the military to try and gauge and get the voice of truth.
He says no one wants another coup and the time for coups are over.
The National Federation Party has also announced a number of immediate plans it will look into if it wins the 2018 General Elections.
Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad says the NFP will immediately work on a feasibility study of a possibility of a coastal road from Nausori to Suva if they are in government.
Prasad also says if they are in government their immediate priority between Nadi and Lautoka will be a four lane road.
He has also announced that they will look at how they can create policies to ensure that the benefits of land owned by our itaukei landowners are increased and provided with efficiency and effectiveness.
