It is a close contest between defending boys division champion, Natabua and Marist in the 2016 Coca-Cola Games.

Marist is still leading the medal tally with 14 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze.

Natabua is in second place with 12 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze while RKS is in third place with 3 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze.

QVS is next with 3 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze.

Jasper leads the girl's division with 12 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze, ACS is in second place with 9 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze and Suva Grammar is next with 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.

Marist took 3 gold medals in the 200 metres finals.

In the 200 metres Sub Junior Boys, Lasarusa Senibale of Marist won the gold medal and also set a new record of 23.59 seconds.

The previous record was set by James Cox of Natabua with a time of 23.61 seconds in 2014.

Joseva Tabakaucoro of Marist won the gold medal in the 200 metres Junior boys with a new record of 22.61 seconds.

The previous record was set by Apolosi Koroi of QVS with a time of 22.64 seconds in 2014.

Meanwhile, Marika Biuvanua of Marist won the silver medal while Sakeasi Rokotuiviwa of Suva Grammar settled for the bronze medal.

In the 200 metres Intermediate boys, Shane Tuvusa of Marist won the gold medal, Keasi Naidroka also from Marist took the silver medal while Apolosi Koroi of QVS settled for the bronze medal.

Ilaitia Waqa of QVS who won the 100 metres Senior Boys final last night, won gold in the Senior Boys 200 metres final in the last hour.

Sailosi Tubuilagi of RKS took the silver medal while Albert Miller Junior of Marist settled for the bronze medal.

Carol Masi of Jasper took the gold medal for 200 metres Sub Junior girls, Ana Kaitoga of Suva Grammar won the silver medal while Merewalesi Gudru of Jasper took the bronze medal.

Suliano Doli of Vashist Muni College won the silver medal while Meli Romuakalou of Suva Grammar won the bronze medal.

In the 200 metres Junior girls, Serenia Ragatu of ACS won the gold medal, Vika Bavui of Jasper took the silver medal while Lusiana Ratulevu settled for the bronze medal.

Makerata Naulu of ACS took the gold medal in the 200 meters Intermediate girls, Alesi Finau of Jasper won the silver medal while Laisani Moceisawana of ACS won the bronze medal.

Alaiwalu Rayawa of ACS won the gold medal for the 200 metres senior girls, Kasanita Biu of Nabua Secondary School took the silver medal while Taraivini Dere of Jasper settled for bronze medal.

Maximus Lestro of Marist won the Junior Boys Discus while Poasa Satoqi took gold in the Senior Boys High Jump.

Lestro said he just came out with extreme power to win gold this morning.

Natabua’s Belasio Waqadau won the first gold medal for his school on the final day of competition in the Senior Boys Triple Jump.

Waqadau has also set a new record of 14.58 metres.

He believes that Natabua will win the boy’s title again this year.

The previous record of 14.42 metres was held by Marist’s Eugene Vollmer. 

Elena Caucau of Napuka Secondary in Savusavu broke the Intermediate Girls Javelin record in the last hour.

She had a record throw of 42.31 metres.

14-year-old Maia Ramsden of International School Suva won her second gold medal in the 800 metres Sub Junior Girls event in the 2016 Coca-Cola Games.

Ramsden also set a new record of 2 minutes and 21 seconds.

The previous record of 2 minutes 24 seconds was held by Maraia Senimasi of Wainimala Junior Secondary in 2004.

Ramsden won gold in the 1,500 metres final yesterday.

Joel Naicker of Natabua took the gold medal in the 800 metres Sub Junior Boys.

Naicker who is from Field 40 says he wanted to help Natabua lead the medal tally again.

Viliame Waqaninamedro of Saqani Junior Secondary School took the silver medal while Michael Hennings of Marist settled for the bronze medal.

Meliki Ganilau of Suva Grammar won the gold in the 800 metres Junior Girls, Vani Loloma of Uluivalili Secondary School has won the silver medal while Vika Tulomana of ACS took the bronze medal.

Vilimoni Tuivuya of RKS took the gold medal in the 800 metres Intermediate boys, Josese Kuruwale of QVS won the silver while Petero Werekoro of Immaculate Conception College took the bronze medal.

In the 800 meters Intermediate girls, Tupou Saukalou of Jasper won the gold medal, Mereoni Loki of Ratu Luke Memorial School took the silver medal while Eta Marama of Sigatoka Andhra College settled for the bronze medal.

Unaisi Tinaitubuna of ACS took the gold medal in the Senior Girls 800 metres, Ana Uluikadavu of Vunisea Secondary won the silver medal while Meresiana Vukici of Jasper took the bronze medal.

Iliesa Ratete of Natabua took the gold medal in the 800 meters senior boys, Viliame Rerealoa of Napuka Secondary won the silver medal while Josua Raivanua of RKS took the bronze medal.

Jese Raviyawa of Sigatoka Andhra College won the gold medal in the Junior Boys High Jump, Kolaia Ivi of RKS won the silver medal while Emosi Caniogo from Marist won the bronze medal.

Saint Joseph’s Secondary School’s Tarairi Erasito also won gold in the Junior girls shot.

Ulamila Matevakatini of Jasper won gold in the Junior Girls Long Jump.

The silver medal went to Sulueti Navila of Grammar while the bronze medal went to Sovaia Vusona of Levuka Public School. 

Looking at the 3,000 metres finals this morning:

Ballantine Memorial School’s Meki Maria took out the gold medal in the 3,000 metres girls open event.

Jasper’s Mereseini Naidau took the silver medal while Litia Tuinuve of Ratu Luke Memorial from Bua took bronze.

Amevasu Turner of Ratu Luke Memorial won gold in the Open Boys 3,000 metres final, Sairusi Kalouniviti of Immaculate Conception College from Bua took the silver medal while Viliame Salusalu will take home the bronze medal.

The 4x100 metres finals will start this hour while the 4x400 metres finals will start at about 2pm today.
