MH Hardware/Homemaker in Nausori destroyed in a fire

MH Homemaker and Hardware, Sky Glory, a jewellery shop and a few restaurants were destroyed in a fire in Nausori Town late last night.

Four firetrucks and more than 20 firefighters worked to control the blaze that broke out at MH Homemaker/Hardware Store at about 9pm.

The National Fire Authority says 3 trucks from Suva, one truck from Nausori and one truck from Valelevu were deployed to attend to the fire.

NFA says the Suva station received the call at 9.59 last night and the first truck from Suva was at the site at 10.06pm. The truck from the Nausori station was at the site at 10.03pm.

They were able to control the fire at 12.30am.

Meanwhile, the MH Warehouse in Walu Bay was destroyed in a fire on the 8th of this month.
