Govt is not allowing all foreign nationals to come and take up all the jobs - AG

Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the government is not allowing all foreign nationals to come and take up all the jobs in the country.

He says these are only for specialist fields where such expertise is needed for now.

Sayed-Khaiyum made this clear after a FNU student said in Labasa that a hotel and timber company in Savusavu is employing all foreigners.

The Attorney General also stresses that a lot of jobs have been created for Fijians over the past years.

Sayed-Khaiyum says for some areas they have to get foreigners like the Indian nationals being brought in to drive the cane harvesters.
