The Vodafone Fiji 7s team won the final of the Challenge Trophy against Wales 26-14 in the London 7s tournament after failing to qualify for the medal quarter finals.
Wales crossed over for the first try to lead 7-0 however Fiji was quick off the mark to respond with two tries to Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Kalione Nasoko.
Wales playmaker Ethan Davis scored just before half time to level the score at 14-all.
Wales continued to pressure Fiji into their own 22 metre line but Fiji proved too strong as Jerry Tuwai and Osea Kolinisau broke through the Welsh defense to set up a try for Josua Vakuru-nabili.
Jerry Tuwai scored the last try to seal the win for Fiji.
Fiji earlier beat Russia 31-5 in the quarter final of the Challenge Trophy and then went on to beat Kenya 45-5 in the trophy semi final.
Scotland successfully defending their title after beating England in the London 7s medal final 12-7.
Meanwhile Canada won the third place playoff after beating USA 22-19.
Looking at the medal quarters, USA beat Australia 31-14, Scotland beat NZ 24-21, England upset South Africa 17-12 while Canada defeated Argentina 28-7.
In the medal semis, Scotland beat USA 21-14 while England beat Canada 24-5.
