The Vodafone Fiji 7s team is through to the semifinals of the Dubai 7s after thrashing France 40-5 in their medal quarterfinals.
The national side proved too strong for the French who are missing Fijian born winger Virimi Vakatawa.
Fiji led 19-nil at half time with two tries from Kitione Taliga while captain Osea Kolinisau scored his 108th try in the series.
In the second half, coach Naca Cawanibuka stressed the need of brutal defence where they kept France scoreless until the last minute.
The other tries was scored by Sevuloni Moceinacagi, Waisea Nacuqu and Samisoni Viriviri in the second half.
Cawanibuka says they will now recover and focus on the semifinals.
Fiji will now meet England in the semifinals at 1.41am tomorrow.
The final will be held at 4.33am tomorrow.
