The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team will be meeting Argentina in the Cup quarterfinals of the Vancouver 7s after defeating Kenya 24-21 to top Pool C this afternoon.

The team was able to deliver the win without captain Jerry Tuwai who was not listed in the line-up for the match against Kenya by Coach Gareth Baber.

The national side led 12-7 at halftime.  Fiji’s offloading game and teamwork in attack was impressive in the match.

The national side’s tries in the match were scored by Kalione Nasoko, Eroni Sau, Amenoni Nasilasila and Mesulame Kunavula.

Waisea Nacuqu was yellow carded for a deliberate knock on. Fiji will take on Argentina at 6.30am tomorrow.

Looking at the results of the final round of pool matches, Russia upset Scotland 26-24, New Zealand beat South Africa 33-14, France drew 12-all with Spain, Samoa beat Wales 28-10, England defeated Argentina 21-7, Canada thrashed Uruguay 47-5 while Australia beat USA 31-21.
