Fiji to face NZ in Sydney 7s semifinal

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will be facing New Zealand in the semifinals of the Sydney 7s after beating Kenya 28-12 in the quarter finals.

Fiji scored four converted tries with two from winger Savenaca Rawaca and a try each from Isake Katonibau and Viliame Mata.

New Zealand on the other hand beat USA 24-7 in the first quarterfinal.

Fiji will meet New Zealand at 4.57 this afternoon in the first semifinal while Australia will face South Africa at 5.19pm in the second semifinal.

Australia defeated England 17-12 in the third quarterfinal with match forced to go on extra-time after both teams were locked 12-all till the final whistle.

South Africa thrashed Argentina 26-0 in the final cup quarterfinal.
