The Fiji Red Cross Society has received $2.4 million cash through their Tropical Cyclone Winston Appeal.
Director General of Fiji Red Cross Society, Filipe Nainoca says they have provided assistance of $2 million which includes buying of items and the transportation cost for distribution.
He says $1 million worth items were given by their partners which were all distributed to the affected people.
Nainoca says they have assisted 63,000 people who were affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston.
The Fiji Red Cross Society has distributed 9,000 blankets, 7,400 tarpaulins, 7,350 Jerry cans, 5,75 hygiene kits, 4,750 black packs, 4,450 kitchen sets, 3,500 solar lights, 2,800 shelter tool kits and 1,250 dignity sets.
