The Vodafone Fiji 7s team thrashed Japan 61‑5 in their second pool match of the London 7s tournament.
Captain Osea Kolinisau scored two tries, one which came from an offload from Josua Vakurunabili.
Debutante Paula Draisinukula and Amenoni Nasilasila also scored tremendous tries in the first half.
Sevuloni Mocenacagi slammed a fifth before Siosifa Lisala scored the only try for Japan before the break.
Fiji led Japan 33‑5 in the first half.
Waisea Nacuqu scored a stunning kick and chase under the posts in the beginning on the second half.
Jerry Tuwai wrapped up a sensational style with a flick out of the back of the hand for Setareki Bituniyata to move Fiji past 60 points.
Fiji will later take on New Zealand at 3.04 this morning.
The medal quarter finals start at 9.58pm tomorrow, the semis will be played at 1.48am Monday while the medal final will kick off at 4.57am Monday.
