The victorious Fiji Mens 7s team and the Team Fiji contingent from Rio have arrived at the Nadi International Airport.
The sevens gold medal winning team with other athletes are now heading to Prince Charles Park where the welcome ceremony will take place.
Fiji flags are flying high in Nadi as thousands of people have already lined up at various spots in Nadi as a number of banners have been put up in Nadi as well.
Nadi’s Prince Charles Park is already filled with hundreds of people and many have come in the blue and white attire with their Fiji flag.
People are dancing and singing songs as they await the arrival of their heroes.
There is also huge presence of security personnel at various spots in Nadi.
Our team in Nadi caught up with Deve Wakili who came all the way from Dawara, Savusavu with his three children to get the first glimpse of our national 7's heros.
Wakili says this is a historic moment for Fiji and he and his family wants to be part of it.
He says they are excited to be one of the first Fijians in Fiji to meet and greet the Fiji 7's side after winning Fiji’s first ever Gold Medal.

Wakili adds they do not want to meet the players in Suva or any other place but to meet them as they arrive.
He says the whole purpose why his family is at Nadi at the moment is because of the players and they will be heading back to Savusavu tomorrow.
The welcome ceremony will take place at Prince Charles Park.
The team bus will go through Votualevu roundabout to Namaka, Namotomoto village and go straight to Prince Charles Park.
A traditional welcome ceremony will be carried out by the people of Sabeto and an inter-faith thanksgiving service will also take place in Nadi.
