The names of the new Fiji 7s men's and women's coaches will be announced this week.
Fiji Rugby Union Chairman Francis Kean says the interviews and supporting processes for the appointment of our national sevens coaches have been concluded by the FRU Board and an announcement will be made before the weekend.
Kean has asked for patience as they go through the final stages of this process.
Meanwhile former England international, Ben Gollings has today confirmed that he has applied for the Fiji men's 7s coach's position.
Gollings confirmed this to ABC Pacific Beat after playing for Daveta in the Central Coast 7s over the weekend.
Gollings is a former coach of the Chinese women's team.
He says he now wants to coach a men's team in the World 7s series.
Gollings had also applied for the Canada 7s coach's job however that has been taken up by former Samoa 7s coach, Damien McGrath.
He says that he also knows that New Zealand would not want a foreign coach.
